I thought Eagle & Crane was a fantastic story, brilliantly told, that combines mystery, action and romance whilst exploring more serious themes and revealing a dark aspect of American history that was certainly new to this reader. On finishing the book with a satisfied sigh, I immediately added the author’s two previous books – The Other /5(13). Get this from a library! Eagle & Crane. Eagle & Crane by Suzanne Rindell is set during WWII in California. One of the main characters is of Japanese descent. This is the story I expect to read. That story, however, is only one of many in this book and as a result, for me, gets a little lost. For me, this book is about too many stories; it dilutes the impact of any individual one.4/5(11).
